Adolfo Spada
The engineer Adolfo and his construction business have spent over 40 years building important public buildings and infrastructures in southern Italy. In 1973, Adolfo bought the land where the Adolfo Spada Estate now stands in order to bring the dream that his family had held for many years to life, in an area of Campania Felix famed for its wine production.
In collaboration with a team of skilled workers, he immediately set to re-organising the property. His priorities were careful cultivation and scrupulous selection of vines, and respect for the surrounding natural environment. From then until the 90's, the estate's grape production was of the highest quality and was sought after by successful award-winning wine producers.
Adolfo has now handed over the reins to his sons Vincenzo and Ernesto but keeps a watchful eye on things from peaceful Capri, in the company of Flora, his wife and their dogs.
